Free Friday

Last April, I went back to work after 10 months of being away, due to maternity leave. Since then every Friday is work free! Today, Melina had her first driving lesson, I had my nails done but before that I glued together this adorable little fawn which sweet Sheena shared at her wonderful blog! Thank you Sheena, our fireplace needed some pink!

No place like home

Since Melina was born, we are trying to live a healthier life... food wise! That means lots and lots of cooking! I've read somewhere that it is very important for a family to have their everyday meals together, all in one table. That's what we try to do. It's not possible to do it everyday, but the important thing is that we try. Our kitchen is a place where we spent many hours of the day, so it has to be pleasant. And I think we accomplished that! Colors, faces, flowers, a dog and... alcohol ha!ha! Enjoy the tour!

This cute fish is a present from Melina’s godparents. Its song is probably the most sweet sound I’ve ever heard. Melina is hearing that song since she was in my belly! And I’m sure that she recognizes the sound, judging by her look when she hears it. The garland is something new I found here, and I’m not sure if it has found its final place in the room. We’ll have to wait and see!

New love… washi tape

I recently decided to write Melina’s story. What a better place to write on, than a sketchbook. Stories from the day she was born to present, her first time to pretty much anything and little souvenirs attached. For the decoration of the sketchbook I wanted something better than plain tape. That’s when I discovered washi tape! I visited Etsy to see what I could find and BOOM!!! I found this cute shop called Stars, Stripes & Dots. Very good prices and a big variety of washi tape. The shop also has a blog, where you can see some ideas of how to use washi tape. Very inspiring!

No place like home

It’s true! It is my favorite place to be! So as from today I’m starting “No place like home” where I will show you, what else, our home. I believe that your living space should project who you are. I was never fan of the “serious” decoration, if you know what I mean. I like color, shapes and also things that you wouldn’t imagine to place on your shelf! I hope you will get inspired. Don’t hesitate to join me on this project! Have a good month!
